LOVE STORY, 2003
Performance in public space

By means of several love stories, the artist takes us on an unusual "tourist" trip around the suburb of El Raval in Barcelona. The journey records real historical memories of the urban transformation of a suburb that, at the present time is characterized by the coexistence of people from very different cultures and origins. These memories are woven into the personal experience of the fictitious protagonists of the narrative plot. The action lasts for two hours against a background of restaurants, grocers' shops, phone booths and other emblematic parts of the suburb. By means of a mobile phone, the images and sound of the performance can be seen and heard via internet.

With the collaboration of: Mondriaan Foundation, Amsterdam.
